This Privacy Policy describes how FOXVISITS LTD ("we", "our", "RecipeFox AI") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the RecipeFox AI service at recipefox.site.
1. Who we are
RecipeFox AI is operated by FOXVISITS LTD, a company registered in Scotland, United Kingdom. For any privacy questions or data subject requests, contact us at contact@recipefox.site.
2. What we collect
- Account data – your email address, hashed password (bcrypt), display name, and account creation date.
- Service data – the WordPress sites you connect, your AI provider API keys (stored to call providers on your behalf), recipes you generate, generation logs, and cost tracking entries.
- Communications – any messages you send via our contact form or via email.
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookie/local-storage entry we use is your authentication token (strictly necessary).
3. How we use your data
- To provide the RecipeFox AI service (authentication, recipe generation, WordPress publishing).
- To contact you about your account, support requests, or important service updates.
- To monitor for abuse, debug issues, and improve the service.
We never sell your data. We never share your AI provider API keys or recipes with anyone other than the providers you yourself configured (Anthropic, kie.ai, WordPress).
4. Third-party processors
- MongoDB Atlas – stores your account and service data.
- Resend – sends transactional emails (welcome, support replies, signup notifications).
- Anthropic & kie.ai – called with your own API keys for AI generation. Their privacy policies apply to the prompts you send.
- WordPress (your site) – we publish recipes to YOUR site using credentials you provide.
5. Your GDPR rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:
- Access – download all data we hold about you. Use the "Export my data" button in Account settings, or email us.
- Rectification – update inaccurate data via Settings.
- Erasure – delete your entire account and all associated data with one click in Account settings.
- Portability – the export is provided as JSON for portability.
- Object/Restrict – contact us if you wish to restrict any specific processing.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
6. Retention
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Generation logs older than 90 days may be pruned automatically. Support tickets are kept for up to 2 years for quality and dispute purposes.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All traffic is served over HTTPS. API keys are stored encrypted at rest in our database. We follow industry best practices but no internet service is 100% immune to breach – please report suspected incidents to contact@recipefox.site.
8. Children
RecipeFox AI is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email and via an in-app notice.
